  • Health and Safety:

    • Acknowledgment of Physical Aspects of Yoga

      • Participation in yoga class includes, but is not limited to, meditation techniques, breathing techniques, somatic exercise (tapping, rocking, etc.,), and performing various yoga postures.

        • Yoga postures, or asanas, are designed to exercise every part of the body―stretching and toning the muscles and joints, the spine and the entire skeletal system. They also work on the internal organs, glands and nerves. Yoga incorporates sustained stretching to strengthen muscles and increase flexibility.

        • By agreeing to these terms, clients are agreeing to listen to their body, go at their own pace, and communicate any questions or concerns with instructor, Lauren Soutullo, at any point in their services.

    • Acknowledging the Emotional Process of Yoga

      • Yoga has the unique ability to connect us deeply with our bodies, which can sometimes bring up challenging emotions, sensations, or memories. This is a natural part of the healing process and a sign that yoga is working to release past trauma and tension held within.

      • If these experiences arise during your session, know that you are not alone. Your instructor is trained in trauma-informed practices and is here to support you with compassion and care. Together, we will focus on enhancing your felt sense of safety in the body, using grounding techniques and gentle practices to help you navigate these emotions with ease and trust.

      • You are always encouraged to honor your needs, step out of any practice, or take breaks as necessary during your session. Your comfort and well-being are top priorities.

    • Clients must disclose any health conditions or injuries that may impact their participation in yoga sessions, including pregnancy.

    • Sessions are not a substitute for medical treatment or therapy. Clients should consult their healthcare provider before starting yoga if they have medical concerns.

  • Liability Waiver:

    • By participating in yoga sessions, clients acknowledge the inherent risks and agree that Embodied Living, LLC and its representatives are not liable for injuries or adverse effects.

    • Clients participate voluntarily and assume full responsibility for their physical and emotional well-being.

  • Privacy and Confidentiality:

    • All personal information shared through intake forms or during sessions will be kept confidential and used solely to enhance your experience.

  • Session Start Times:

    • Clients are expected to arrive on time. Late arrivals may result in a shorter session, with no adjustment to the session fee.

  • Instructor Rights:

    • The instructor reserves the right to reschedule sessions due to unforeseen circumstances and will provide as much notice as possible.

    • The instructor reserves the right to discontinue services with individuals who violate agreed upon terms and conditions.

  • Payment Terms:

    • Payment must be made at the time of booking unless otherwise arranged.

    • Accepted payment methods will be outlined at the time of booking.

  • Instructor’s Role:

    • Lauren Soutullo, RYT-200, is a Registered Yoga Teacher with specialized training in trauma-informed practices. While Lauren is also a licensed mental health professional, services provided through Embodied Living—such as yoga sessions, retreats, and expressive arts groups—are offered solely in her capacity as a yoga instructor and wellness facilitator.

    • Please note that these services are not a substitute for psychotherapy or other mental health treatment. If you are seeking therapeutic support, Lauren encourages you to reach out to a licensed mental health provider or appropriate resources for assistance.

    • By participating in offerings through Embodied Living, LLC, you acknowledge and understand the distinction between these roles.
